A bold 42mm matte black ceramic monobloc case features sharp, angular lugs that sit confidently on your wrist, with a 49mm lug-to-lug length and 14.5mm thickness, giving the watch a striking, muscular presence. On the right side, a screw-down winding crown and rapid-action chronograph pushers are crafted in black PVD-treated steel, while a flush-mounted rapid date corrector sits at 9 o'clock. The fixed matte black ceramic bezel features an engraved tachymetric scale, allowing for instant speed calculations. Personal Note

I always love getting a modern Tudor in stock that strays away from the usual Black Bay and Pelagos models, and I think the Fastrider Black Shield is a brilliant example of just how interesting Tudor can be. It's easy to forget that Tudor has produced some really bold and unusual watches over the years, many of which simply never quite achieved the mass appeal of the Black Bay range. But that doesn't make them any less interesting. If anything, I think it makes them even cooler. The matte black ceramic case, stealthy dial and Ducati connection give this one a completely different personality from anything else in Tudor's modern catalogue. If you're after something a little different from the brand, I genuinely think this is well worth considering. Snap up this brilliant watch for your collection today!

About Tudor

Swiss watchmaking company “Veuve de Philippe Hüther”, on behalf of Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of Rolex watches, first registered the Tudor trademark in 1926. Wilsdorf took it over himself in 1936. Soon after the Second World War, Hans Wilsdorf, who founded Rolex, knew that it was time for Tudor to have a proper identity of its own. The Tudor Rose started to appear on their dials from this moment. On 6 March 1946, he founded the company “Montres TUDOR S.A.”, producing watches for both men and women. Rolex guaranteed the overall design aesthetic, as well as distribution and after-sales service. In 1948, we saw the first Tudor-specific advertising. A few years later, they introduced the TUDOR Oyster Prince in 1952. Hans Wilsdorf allowed Tudor to use their waterproof Oyster case and the original self-winding Perpetual ’rotor’ movement. This was an exclusive arrangement that benefited both brands. Development soon commenced with the introduction of the TUDOR Oyster Prince Submariner, reference 7922, in 1954. This watch was quickly adopted by the French Navy in 1956. Building on their reputation of robustness in 1961, the Rose was replaced by the shield. Later in 1969, we saw the design changes in Ref. 7016, where, for the first time, square indexes and angular hands nicknamed “snowflake” allowed for a greater amount of lume to be applied; the divers of the French Navy appreciated this. Today, these innovations can be seen in the Black Bay and Pelagos collections. In 1971, Tudor introduced the Oysterdate chronographs, nicknamed “Monte-Carlo” for their resemblance to a roulette wheel. Celebrating their 50th anniversary in 1996. In the same year, Tudor decided to replace Rolex-signed components such as cases, crowns, and bracelets with Tudor-branded ones. Today, Tudor uses their in-house movements developed initially in 2015 in collaboration with Breitling.
