Several other brands also produced watches under the Caribbean name, including Ollech & Wajs and Jacquet Droz. The 40mm polished stainless steel case curves over your wrist with tapered flat-ended drilled lugs. Its curved flanks have crisp edges leading to a lug-to-lug length of 44.5mm and a case thickness of 14.5mm, ensuring a comfortable fit. On the right side, a screw-down coin-edged domed crown. A coin-edged steel bezel has a blue enamelled 12-hour scale with polished 3D pyramid indices holding a domed sapphire crystal AR-coated on the inside above a vibrant yellow dial. An outer minute track surrounds applied steel double baton indexes filled with lume at the cardinal points and lume-coated batons marking the hours. At 3 o’clock, a framed date window, featuring thick black hands filled with lume, is complemented by an arrow-pointed sweeping second hand. At noon, we have the Smiths motif, and at 6 o’clock, ‘Caribbean 1000 Meters 3300 Ft’ completes this vintage-infused dive monster. On the reverse, a screw-down solid case back engraved with the details of the watch and ‘Smiths’ motif in the centre, inside automatic Miyota 9015, 24 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour, this quality workhorse movement has hand winding, hacking seconds and quick-set date. It comes paired with its 20mm Beads of Rice brushed and polished stainless steel bracelet secured by a signed folding clasp. This watch is sold with its original Timefactors Smiths box and paperwork.

About Smiths

Timefactors is a British watch company founded in 1996 by Eddie Platts. They are renowned for crafting watches inspired by historical designs. Initially, they sold well-known watch brands online in the mid-90s. However, they made a name for themselves by introducing the idea of selling their own watch brand directly online. Their first models, the PRS-1 Speedbird and PRS-2 Dreadnought, were released in 2001 and 2002, respectively. Timefactors is notable for selling directly to customers, cutting out the middleman. Today, they also own the Smiths name, allowing them to offer many classic watch designs from the famous Smiths brand.
