This watch is sold with its original Seiko box and paperwork. The watch comes paired on its original Seiko bracelet with all links provided. The watch is from July 2021 and is sold in worn but fair condition as you can see, likely worn a handful of times at most. The watch comes with its original Manufacturer Warranty.

The Watch

Seikos history began in 1881 when Kintaro Hattori established the K. Hattori retail and repair store. In 1892 Seikosha was established making wall clocks. 1895 saw the production of their first pocket watch. 1913 saw the launch of their first wristwatch, the Laurel. In 1924 the first Seiko was manufactured. Daini Seikosha (now Seiko Instruments Inc.) was established in 1937. Seiko was listed on the Tokyo stock exchange in 1949. The Suwa factory became independent and formed Suwa Seikosha Co., Ltd. (now Seiko Epson Corporation in 1959).  

This 2021 Seiko Presage GMT "Sharp Edged" SPB225 is a freshly inspired design.  A Seiko Boutique exclusive model. The 42mm stainless steel case has a modern angular profile with broad flat-ended lugs. A lug to lug length of 49mm and a thickness of 14mm gives the watch an impressive wrist presence. Coated in DiaShield, a Seiko proprietary material, gives the watch resilience to scratches and scuffs. On the right side is a signed screw-down crown. The 24-hour bezel holds a domed sapphire crystal AR coated for excellent viewing angles. A dynamic hemp leaf-designed dial with the colour of Hihada-iro, a rich reddish-brown colour inspired by the bark of the Japanese cypress tree. An outer chapter ring dived into night and day by a dark and light brown colour. Bevel-edged baton indexes coated in LumiBrite mark the hours. At 6 o’clock a date register and at 9 o’clock a power reserve indicator. Elegant dauphine hands coated in LumiBrite along with a GMT arrow hand and fine sweeping second hand completes the set. Text is precisely printed with Seiko at 12 sitting on a raised platform. The dial shimmers in the light as you rotate your wrist. On the reverse, a screw-down exhibition case back. Inside an Automatic Seiko Cal. 6R64, 29 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. The movement has hand winding and hacking for your convenience. The watch comes fitted on its Seiko 20mm three-fold clasp with a push-button release and comes with its Seiko presentation box and papers.
