This watch is sold with its original Rado Box & Paperwork. The watch comes paired with its original Rado 19mm polished and brushed beads of rice style stainless steel bracelet with a signed push button release deployment clasp and EasyClip System for quick strap changes without the need for a tool. Included is a strap kit which is a hard-wearing leather travel pouch and two extra straps. The watch is from December 2021 and is in worn, but in good condition, as you can see from the photos. The watch comes with its Manufacturer's Warranty.
The Watch
Here we have a 2021 Rado Captain Cook with a 37mm polished stainless steel case, inspired by their 1962 Captain Cook creation Rado has taken those aesthetics and designed a more contemporary watch with the use of modern materials. The curve of the case leads to thick tapered lugs with a lug-to-lug length of 43mm and a case thickness of 11mm giving the watch an impressive wrist presence, on the right side is a push-pull signed crown with deep knurling for extra grip. The unidirectional stainless steel bezel has a green ceramic 60-minute insert with large silver numerals, and a domed sapphire crystal AR coated sits above a striking Green dial that has a graduation from almost black around its outer edge to the rich green in the centre. An outer minute chapter ring has baton indexes coated in Super-LumiNova marking the hours, at 3 o’clock a date window. Arrow and sword hands infilled with Super-LumiNova complemented by an arrow point second hand, at 12 o’clock we have the rotating red Rado anchor with the Rado motif underneath, and at 6 o’clock “Captain Cook” completes this vintage-inspired dive watch. On the reverse, we have a screw-down case back with the Rado three seahorse motif embossed in the centre, inside an automatic Rado 03.763.035. The watch comes fitted with its Rado 19mm polished and brushed beads of rice style stainless steel bracelet with a signed push button release deployment clasp and EasyClip System for quick strap changes without the need for a tool, included is a strap kit which is a hard-wearing leather travel pouch and two extra straps and the watch comes with its Rado presentation box and paperwork.
Personal Note
The Rado Captain Cook has become a favourite among collectors, especially those looking for a vintage-inspired smaller diver the 37mm Captain Cook is one I'd always recommend as it wears so well despite its size and looks perfectly at home on the wrist.
