Here we have a 2021 Oris X Hodinkee Calibre 400 01 400 7774 4087 Limited Edition of 096/400 pieces; this was the second collaboration between Oris and Hodikee. The polished and brushed 38mm stainless steel case curves over your wrist with tapered lugs, and a lug-to-lug length of 45.5mm and a case thickness of 12.5mm ensure a comfortable fit. On the right side is a signed crown. For the first time, the stainless steel unidirectional smooth sliding bezel on an Oris Sixty-Five has a black aluminium 60-minute countdown dive bezel insert with white numerals and markings. A double-domed sapphire crystal sits above a forest green dial, an outer minute track surrounds the disc, and shield-shaped indexes coated in a green Super-LumiNova P-7485, inspired by the shield logo found on vintage Oris watches. Slender hands are filled with the same lume complemented by a sweeping second hand; at noon, we have the Oris motif, and at 6 o’clock, “5 days 10bar/100m” complete this distinctive sports watch. On the reverse, an exhibition case back with the details of the watch and number out of 400 engraved around its edge, inside an automatic Oris Cal. 400, 21 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour, this innovative movement has a very efficient escapement, silicon escape wheel and anchor, twin mainspring barrels to give up to a 5-day power reserve. The watch comes paired with its 19mm Rivet-style 3-link brushed stainless steel bracelet with a signed push-button release folding clasp; all links are provided, and the watch comes with its Oris X Hodinkee presentation box, swing tags, leather travel pouch and paperwork.

The watch comes paired with its 19mm Rivet-style 3-link brushed stainless steel bracelet with a signed push-button release folding clasp; all links are provided. The watch is from August 2021 and is sold in worn condition, with signs of wear on the case, a small scratch on the bezel at 11 and the bracelet, as you can see. Paul Cattin and George Christian founded Oris in the Swiss town of Hölstein.  They bought a factory and signed a contract with the mayor in 1904. Initially making pocket watches in 1925, they started to add bracelets to their pocket watches, which soon transitioned into the wristwatch. By 1929, they had a total of six factories. At the end of the 1960s, Oris became one of the largest watch companies in the world, producing approximately 1.2 million timepieces a year. In 1982, Dr. Rolf Portmann and Ulrich W. Herzog led a management buyout from Swatch Group. Unhappy with the way the Group was running things. Oris SA was born as an independent Swiss watch brand. 2002 saw their distinctive Red Rotor become an Oris registered Trademark.
