The Watch
Here we have a 2021 H. Moser and Cie Pioneer Centre Seconds Green Collective C.02 made in collaboration with Collective Horology, an international group of enthusiasts based in Silicon Valley California. As part of their Pioneer collection, it has a unique stainless steel case with brushed and polished surfaces that transition with elegant lines. The sides of the case have deep recesses with exquisite grill engraving, reminiscent of the streamlined automobiles of the 1930s and 40s. On the right side, a signed screw-down crown with the engraved “M”. A polished bi-directional bezel has alternating coin edge sections to give you extra grip, 12-hour black insert is perfect for setting a second time zone, holding a domed sapphire crystal. The stunning Collective Green fumé dial has an outer minute chapter ring with lume pips, and applied facet-edged obelisk-shaped indexes that mark the hours. As you rotate your wrist they magically catch the light. Unique-shaped hands have an extended stripe of Super LumiNova and are complemented by a tapered sweeping second-hand tipped with Super LumiNova. At 12 o’clock we have the H. Moser and Cie motif in its distinctive flowing font, completing this incredible sports watch. On the reverse a screwed-down exhibition case back showcasing an automatic HMC Cal. 200, 27 jewels, beating at 21,600 beats per hour, the skeletonised bi-directional rotor is engraved with the H. Moser & Cie. motif. This stunning movement can also be found in their Endeavour and Heritage lines, decorated with the Moser hallmark and decorated in Moser stripes. The watch comes paired with its 22mm H. Moser brushed H-Link stainless steel bracelet with a signed push-button release folding clasp, plus two quality 22mm H.Moser straps with an engraved buckle in the box, and the watch comes with its H. Moser & Cie presentation box and a full set of papers.

The Brand
Heinrich Moser, born in Schaffhausen, founded H. Moser & Cie. in 1828. As a young entrepreneur, he quickly learnt about the watchmaking profession. He found himself in St.Petersburg and soon became “the specialist” for its aristocracy. They built a factory employing several hundred craftspeople in Switzerland. He produced around 500,000 watches during his lifetime. The watches ranged from three-hand watches to incredible “grande complications”. Heinrich was passionate and deeply involved in the industrialisation of Schaffhausen, including the building of the first Swiss dam, which featured an innovative hydro-mechanical turbine to produce energy for the machinery used in watch production. Due to the “quartz crisis,” they became a part of the Dixi Mechanique Group. Their original brand name was dropped, becoming "Hy Moser & Cie". In 2002, Dr Jürgen Lange and Heinrich Moser's great-grandson Roger Nicholas Balsiger, founded Moser Schaffhausen AG. In 2005, they built a new factory in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, and the H. Moser & Cie trademark was formally re-launched. The MELB Holding Group owns H. Moser & Cie, CEO, the former boss at Audemars Piguet, Georges-Henri Meylan. They have been based in Le Brassus in Switzerland since 2012.
