The Watch

Here we have a 2021 Garrick S4 Plumb Special Dial GPHG Nominee, the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève, also known as GPHG, is one of the most prestigious award ceremonies in watchmaking., it highlights the industry's outstanding achievements by awarding a golden trophy to the most deserving and talented watchmakers. The curvaceous 41mm polished 904L stainless steel case gently curves over your wrist with finely tapered drilled lugs, and a lug-to-lug length of 50.5mm and a case thickness of 13mm ensures a comfortable fit. On the right side is an onion-style crown, a polished smooth bezel that holds a sapphire crystal AR coated above a stunning Plumb Special Dial. A circular brushed ring, hand frosted and Rhodium plated, has the minute track surrounding hand ink-filled Roman numeral indexes marking the hours; the 'guilloché' engine turned pattern uses a traditional rose engine lathe. Elegant Garrick-designed hands in stainless steel are complemented by a distinctive circular brushed ring, hand frosted, and Rhodium plated 'guilloché' engine turned sub seconds at 6 o’clock. The Garrick motif is screwed on at 12 o’clock, completing this incredible GPHG Nominee timepiece. On the reverse, a screw-down sapphire exhibition case back, inside manually wound Calibre BF03, 19 jewels, beating at 21,600 beats per hour, a heavily modified Swiss ETA Unitas 6498 movement, exquisitely decorated Rhodium-plated and frosted barrel and crown wheel cover proudly stating Garrick Watchmakers Made in England. Personal Note

It's not every day that you are presented with the opportunity to sell a GPHG Nominated watch, never mind THE exact watch that was presented for the nomination itself! This Garrick S4 features a beautiful plumb dial which presents itself as bold, yet elegant on the wrist. Then when you flip the watch around you admire the manually wound Calibre BF03 which again balances both a modern design with heritage and classical finishing techniques. This is a special watch from an important British brand, do not hesitate to book an appointment to see it in the metal yourself.
