2020s Dan Henry 1964 Gran Turismo Chronograph 36mm

Here we have a 2020s Dan Henry 1964 Gran Turismo Chronograph, inspired by the Grand Tourer Chronographs of the 1960s. Its design is inspired by the racing watches worn by the greatest drivers of that era in Sicily and Monaco. Featuring a 36mm brushed and polished stainless steel case with straight lugs. Its curved flanks lead to a 43mm lug-to-lug length and a case thickness of 13mm for a very comfortable fit on the wrist. Down the right side, we have the chronograph pushers and a signed crown in the centre. A slim, polished bezel protects the double-domed Sapphire-coated Mineral crystal with AR treatment, providing better viewing angles in challenging lighting situations. Its matte black dial features an outer tachymeter in white, surrounding a minute track with Super-LumiNova pips. Chamfered baton indexes mark the hours. Slim baton hands filled with Super-lumiNova are complemented by a blued, tapered chronograph hand. Three white sub-dials indicate 24 hours at 3 o’clock, running seconds at 6 o’clock and a 60-minute register at 9 o’clock, each with a blued stick hand. On the reverse, a snap-off case back features the details of the watch around its edge, along with an embossed Aston Martin DB5, a nice touch that complements its Grand Tourer aesthetic.  Inside a  Seiko Meca-Quartz Cal. VK63 is a mechanical quartz hybrid that has a tuning fork-type quartz crystal. You experience the same kind of mechanical resistance when engaging the pushers, accompanied by a satisfying snap back of the chronograph's seconds hand on reset. It comes paired with its 18mm Beads of Rice bracelet and a signed push-button clasp, plus an 18mm leather strap in the box. This is the Dan Henry 1964 Gran Turismo Chronograph in 36mm with the no-date dial, possibly the best Dan Henry model they have produced, in my opinion. The design, fit and feel are perfect, and the choice of the beads of rice bracelet or the leather covers all occasions. Add this to your collection today before I decide to just keep it!
