Points of Mention

This watch is sold with its original Farer Box & Paperwork. The watch comes paired on its 20mm Maine St. Venere leather strap with a signed buckle. The watch is from October 2020 and is in fantastic like-new condition as you can see from the photos, likely worn only a handful of times altogether. The watch comes with our 12-Months Warranty.

The Watch

In 2015 Farer, an independent British watch brand was founded by Stuart Finlayson, Jono Holt, Ben Lewin, and Paul Sweetenham. Operating out of Ascot, Berkshire in the UK. All having a passion for watches, their first creations were 9 quartz watches. In 2016 they launched three automatic watches naming them after British Royal Navy ships. Building on this success in 2019 they released two land speed record-themed watches and later a collection of chronographs.

Here we have a 2020 Like-New Farer GMT Bezel Crooms launched in late August 2020. Crooms Hill is one of the three roads surrounding Greenwich Park in London. It is here that you find the Royal Observatory, the home of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). The 41mm stainless steel case uses the same case as their Chronograph Sport line. Lug to lug length of 46mm and a case thickness of 12.5mm give the watch an impressive wrist presence. Brushing across the case is well executed. On the right side is a signed screw-down crown with a bronze cap. The bi-directional stainless steel bezel has a   24-hour black aluminum insert with large engraved numerals. A domed sapphire crystal sits above a striking sunburst red dial. An outer minute track has a thick baton and oversized Arabic numerals at 3, 6, and 9 with an arrow at 12 o’clock coated in SuperLumiNova. At 3 o’clock a date window. Baton hands coated in SuperLumiNova complemented by a red arrow point sweeping second hand and large arrow point GMT hand. Text is precisely applied to the dial with a splash of orange highlighting the water resistance. On the reverse a screwed-down exhibition case back. Inside an Automatic Sellita SW330-1, 25 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. The movement is decorated in perlage and the skeletonised rotor is a nice touch. The watch comes fitted on its 20mm Maine St. Venere leather strap with a signed buckle. The watch comes with its Farer presentation box and papers.

Personal Note

Another watch by Farer that has knocked it out of the park! The colours and case shape work so well together on and off the wrist, the GMT hand with its pop of colour is very "Farer" and fits with the whole aesthetic. I'd recommend this watch to anyone who wants a GMT that's a tad left field in all the good ways!
