Founded in 2005 by Mike France, Peter Ellis, and Christopher Ward, they started the world's first online-only watch brand. The Christopher Ward C65 Trident Diver has the design elements of both a functional diver and a sports watch, reflecting the jet setters of the 1960s with the minimalist dial. Here we have a 2020 Christopher Ward C65 Trident Bronze Ombre COSC. This special piece is limited to 500. The 41.5mm Raw bronze C5191 (CuSn6) case curves over your wrist in all the right places. A lug to lug length of 47mm and a thickness of 11.5mm ensures a comfortable fit on your wrist. On the right side, a signed push-down crown. A Unidirectional raw bronze C5191 (CuSn6) bezel has a black anodised aluminum dive insert that holds the “Glass box” sapphire crystal. The unique dial is made up of a blank piece of bronze which is delicately hand-scratched, with its textured finish subtly fading towards a fine varnished black edge (this technique is called ‘Ombré’ referring to this gradual blend). Applied disc and baton markers are gold plated with a coating of Super-LumiNova. At 3 o’clock a date window. Bevel-edged gold plated sword hands are coated in Super-LumiNova complemented by a tapered sweeping second hand complete with its characteristic Trident counterweight. On the reverse, a screw-down case back with the high relief trident in the center. Inside an Automatic Sellita, SW200 COSC Certified, 26 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour.
