The Watch

Seiko history began in 1881 when Kintaro Hattori established the K. Hattori retail and repair store. In 1892 Seikosha was established making wall clocks. 1895 saw the production of their first pocket watch. 1913 saw the launch of their first wristwatch, the Laurel. In 1924 the first Seiko was manufactured. Daini Seikosha (now Seiko Instruments Inc.) established in 1937. Seiko listed on the Tokyo stock exchange in 1949. The Suwa factory becomes independent and forms Suwa Seikosha Co., Ltd. (now Seiko Epson Corporation in 1959).

The Sakura Fubuki Presage Seiko is incredible both on and off the wrist. Limited to 3500 pieces. Its 40mm polished round stainless steel case gently curves towards the tapered lugs. A lug to lug length of 47mm and a thickness of 15mm gives the watch excellent wrist presence. A flat Hardlex crystal sits above the dial with an interesting and rarely seen 3D effect at this price range, according to Seiko it is supposed to emulate a Cherry Blossom Rose, personally, it looks more like layered snow and is truly beautiful. Sakura Fubuki literally means “Cherry Blossom snowstorm”. Applied facet indexes catch the light as you rotate your wrist. Featuring a power reserve indicator on the dial. At 6 o’clock a date dial. The watch is expertly polished all over, the quality shines. Elegant steel Dauphine’s hands with a tapered sweeping seconds hand. On the reverse, an exhibition case back. Inside a Seiko Automatic 4R57, 29 jewels, 21,600 beats per hour. The movement can be hand-wound. The watch comes fitted on its Seiko 20mm leather strap with a signed buckle and push-button release.

Points of Mention

This watch is sold with its original Seiko box and Seiko booklets. The watch comes paired on its original Seiko strap with a signed folding clasp. The watch is from 2019 and is sold in worn condition, but overall great condition as you can see. The watch comes with our 12-Months NON-Waterproof Warranty.

Personal Note

A watch that truly looks stunning in all lights, the dial is enamouring and you'll get lost in it every time you look down for the time, be warned! The size is also perfect, especially on my 6 3/4inch wrists, it works beautifully. You won't be disappointed with this hidden gem within the Seiko family.
