Points of Mention

This watch is sold with its original Farer Box & Paperwork. The watch comes paired on its original Farer leather strap with a signed buckle. The watch is from October 2019 and is in fantastic condition as you can see from the photos, likely worn only a handful of times altogether. The watch comes with our 12-Months Warranty.

The Watch

In 2015 Farer, an independent British watch brand was founded by Stuart Finlayson, Jono Holt, Ben Lewin, and Paul Sweetenham. Operating out of Ascot, Berkshire in the UK. All having a passion for watches, their first creations were 9 quartz watches. In 2016 they launched three automatic watches naming them after British Royal Navy ships. Building on this success in 2019 they released two land speed record-themed watches and later a collection of chronographs.

Here we have a Farer World Timer - Roche takes its inspiration and design cues from the classic Vacheron Constantin and Patek Philippe of the 1930s. The 39mm bead-blasted stainless steel case gently curves over your wrist with tapered lugs. A lug to lug length of 45mm and a case thickness of 11mm ensures a comfortable fit. Polished and brushed surfaces transition with crisp edges. On the right side is a signed crown with a bronze cap, on the left side at 10 o’clock a crown to rotate the inner city bezel. A smooth bead-blasted bezel holds an AR-coated domed sapphire crystal. The striking dial is made up of an outer rotating city bezel, applied baton and Arabic numeral indexes mark the hours. At 3 o’clock a date window. An inner globe with a 24-hour disc printed numerals in red and black. Elegant sword hands coated in SuperLumiNova complemented with a tapered sweeping second hand. Text is precisely applied at 12 o’clock and around the 24-hour disc. On the reverse a screwed-down exhibition case back. Inside an Automatic ETA 2893-1 Elaboré, 21 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. This movement was introduced by ETA in 1992. The center 24 disc is adjusted with the crown in its second position. The watch comes fitted on a quick-release Farer leather strap with a signed buckle. The watch comes with its Farer presentation box and papers.

Personal Note

If you are a fan of the traditional world timers but want something modern with a twist, this is the watch for you! Farer has nailed the design and feel of this model both on and off the wrist, I wouldn't hesitate because under £1,000 this is a TON of watch for the money!
