The Watch

Here we have a 2019 Farer Ainsdale Split-Seconds Flyback Chronograph with a 39mm 316L Marine Grade stainless steel case. The subtle curve of the case with a lug-to-lug length of 45.5mm and a case thickness of 11.5mm gives the watch an impressive wrist presence. Circular and horizontal brushing of the case transitions with crisp edges. We have the chronograph pushers and a signed crown with a machined bronze cap and an embossed Farer “A” down the right side. On the left at 10, we have a pusher to stop the split-second hand under the chronograph hand, allowing you to measure two time intervals simultaneously and independently. The stepped, polished bezel holds a boxed sapphire crystal, AR-coated on the inside, above a striking, glossy midnight blue dial. The outer 60-second scale is precisely executed. At 3 o’clock, a 1/10th of a second register, at 6 o’clock, a running seconds register and finally at 9 o’clock, the 30-minute register. Each is slightly recessed with a concentric circular pattern and an orange stick hand. Arabic numerals in thick orange mark the hours. At 4:30, we have a colour-matched date window. Elegant syringe hands filled with Super LumiNova and outlined in steel are complemented by a yellow tapered chronograph hand and a steel split-seconds, Rattrapante hand. At 12 o’clock, the Farer motif is printed, and at 3 o'clock, Chronograph Flyback is printed in white, completing this historically inspired chronograph. On the reverse, a screw-down exhibition case back with a flat sapphire crystal. Inside a Quartz ETA Cal. 251.294 FK. This 27-jewel movement has 5 ETA stepper motors. The watch comes fitted with a 20mm leather Farer strap. The watch also comes with its Farer presentation box and papers.
