Founded in 2005 by Mike France, Peter Ellis, and Christopher Ward they started the world's first online-only watch brand. July 2nd, 2014 saw the announcement to a genuinely astonished watch industry their own in-house movement, Calibre SH21, the first commercially viable mechanical movement from a British watch brand in over 50 years.
This Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro has a 40mm marine grade stainless steel case. Its round polished and brushed case has tapering lugs. A 48mm lug to lug length gives the watch great wrist presence. On the right side, a screw-down signed crown with crown guards. The uni-directional bezel is crafted in anti-reflective zirconia ceramic with Grade X1 GL C1 Super-LumiNova numerals. AR-coated sapphire crystal sits above the black dial. Applied baton indexes with top brushed and diamond facets. At 3 o’clock a date window. An arrow hour hand with a slim baton minute hand is filled with Grade X1 GL C1 Super-LumiNova. The sweeping second’s hand has the trident counterweight. On the reverse a screw-down case back with a deep-stamped 3D trident. Inside an Automatic Sellita SW200-1, 26 Jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. Fitted on its 20mm Marine-grade stainless steel bracelet with micro-adjustable ratchet clasp and quick-release system.
