2019 Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Blue Automatic 42mm

Here we have a 2019 Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Blue Automatic with its characteristic 42mm square satin brushed and polished stainless steel case with screw detailing at each corner, inspired by aircraft cockpit instrumentation, sitting on your wrist like a cushion thanks to the stubby flat-ended screw lugs. Its polished, chamfered edge leads to rounded corners, a lug-to-lug length of 51mm and a case thickness of 9.5mm. On the right side, there is a large signed crown with a hobnail ring for grip. The polished and satin brushed bezel holds a flat sapphire crystal AR coated above a sunburst blue dial. Batons and numerals are coated in SuperlumiNova, marking the hours. At 4:30, we have a round colour-matched date window. Broad steel sword hands filled with SuperLumiNova are complemented by a sweeping seconds hand. At noon, we have the Bell & Ross motif, and at 6 o’clock, BR 03-92 completes this aviation-themed timepiece. On the reverse, a solid screwed-down case back engraved with the details of the watch, inside an Automatic Bell & Ross Cal. BR-CAL.302, 25 Jewels beating at 28,800 Beats per hour, this movement has a base of the Sellita SW300-1a, it has hand winding, hacking seconds and quick-set date for your convenience. As a French watch company based in Paris, they have their manufacturing in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. The company's watches were originally produced by the German company Sinn, but this partnership ended in 2002, soon after Chanel became a minority shareholder, and production was quickly moved to Switzerland. In 1992, Bell & Ross started producing pilot watches for the French Air Force. They became the official watch supplier to the Escadron de Chasse La Fayette and the French space program. In 2016, Bell & Ross began collaborating with French automaker Renault to create watches that are inspired by their Formula 1 racing cars. The Bell & Ross Space 1 was the first automatic chronometer to be worn in space in 1994.
