This watch is sold with its original Montblanc Box & Paperwork. The watch comes paired with its original Montblanc 22mm rubber strap with a signed double-folded clasp. The Watch

Here we have a 2018 Montblanc Timewalker Chronograph Automatic 116096 with a polished and brushed stainless steel case with scalloped sides that curve over your wrist with tapered lugs, a lug-to-lug length of 52mm and a case thickness of 15mm giving the watch an impressive wrist presence. Down the right side, we have the chronograph pushers, a signed screw-down crown coated in black DLC. The 12-hour black unidirectional ceramic bezel holds a flat sapphire crystal above a black dial, a white outer minute chapter ring surrounds the applied baton and numeral indexes coated in Super LumiNova, at 12 o’clock we have a silver ringed 30-minute register, at 6 o’clock a silver ringed 12-hour register and finally at 9 o’clock the small seconds register, at 3 o’clock a date window with the Montblanc motif, at 12 o’clock a red “TimeWalker” and at 6 o’clock “Automatic”, slender Dauphine hands infilled with Super LumiNova and complemented by a red chronograph hand completes this dynamic timepiece. On the reverse, a screw-down exhibition case back, inside an automatic MB Cal. 25.07, 25 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour, the movement is based on the Sellita SW500-1. The watch comes fitted on its Montblanc 22mm rubber strap with a signed double-folded clasp and the watch comes with its Montblanc presentation box and paperwork.

Personal Note

I was fortunate to have attended the Montblanc Timewalker release at the Boutique when the time-only model first came to market and I was very impressed, whilst not to everyone's taste I will always be for brands developing their own styles and producing something within their own design language, this is exactly that from Montblanc and it is refreshing.

The Brand

The company was first founded in 1906 Montblanc’s writing instruments and leather goods became some of the world’s most premium and sought-after luxury gifts. The ‘Meisterstück’ fountain pen, released in 1924, became the brand’s most famous writing instrument. In 1997 Montblanc Montre S. A. was established in Le Locle, Switzerland. In 2006 Montblanc bought the Minerva watchmaking company based in Villeret and it was here that the brand created exceptionally high-horology wristwatches. Montblanc has been creating Nicolas Rieussec chronographs in Le Locle since 2008. These stunning chronographs encapsulate an alternative way to read the time, with models that feature two rotating discs with static hands. Since 2015 Davide Cerrato has been the managing director of their “watch division”. He brings with him experience from Panerai and Tudor where he was in charge of marketing design and product development.
