Points of Mention

This watch is sold with its original Bremont box and paperwork. The watch comes paired on its original Bremont signed rubber strap with its Bremont signed buckle. The watch is from October 2018 and is sold in worn condition, but overall very fair condition as you can see. The watch comes with our 12-Months Warranty.

The Watch

Our 2018 Bremont Martin Baker MBIII has all of the DNA of the MB1. The 42.5mm hardened stainless steel case uses the Bremont Trip-Tick construction system made up of 3 parts, a hardened steel bezel, a middle section made of a DLC treated middle barrel, and finally a steel case back. A lug to lug length of 49mm and a thickness of 14.5mm gives the watch an excellent wrist presence. Finely brushed surfaces transition with crisp edges. On the right side, screw-down crowns at 2 to adjust the date and time and at 4 to rotate the Patented inner Roto-Click bezel. A stepped smooth bezel holds a domed sapphire crystal AR coated. The matte black dial has an inner 24-hour bidirectional rotating bezel. The black dial has thickly applied Super-LumiNova Arabic numerals, plongeur watch hands alongside a unique sweeping seconds hand with an ejector seat pull release counterbalance. The GMT hand has a red triangular point. At 3 o’clock a date window. On the reverse, a screwed-down case back with the Martin-Baker ejector seat logo engraved in the centre. Inside suspended between a rubber sandwich we have the movement. This combination of parts to the case acts as a faraday cage making it anti-magnetic and very shock absorbent. An Automatic Bremont Cal. BE-93-2AE, 21 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. A modified ETA 2892-A2 movement. The watch comes fitted on a 22mm rubber strap with a signed buckle. The watch also comes with its Bremont presentation box and papers.

Personal Note

Bremont is a brand I believe offers incredible value on the pre-owned market, personally, I wouldn't recommend buying one new, that is just my personal opinion as they do come down a fair chunk once pre-owned and then you have yourself an absolute bargain for how much watch you get! And believe me, these watches are built like tanks, beautifully designed, and executed so well! Maybe one-day things will change with people appreciating them more and therefore pre-owned prices creep up, but for now, all the value is in buying them pre-owned, make the most of it!

The Brand

"Martin-Baker is a British aviation company responsible for supplying 70% of the world’s air forces with fighter ejection seat technology. They first approached Bremont to create the definitive aviation watch in 2007/08. More than simply putting a logo on an existing model, the watch had to withstand the same rigorous testing program as the ejector seats themselves. Two years later, the Bremont MB range was born. The limited-edition Bremont MBI was solely for pilots who had ejected from an aircraft using a Martin-Baker seat. This rather select group includes US congressmen and senators, CEOs of leading FTSE and Dow companies, and the chiefs of six air forces around the world (the one exception is a major Hollywood star who tracked down and persuaded an ejectee to buy a watch on his behalf). While the MBI is reserved for the few, the MBII is available to all and has become a Bremont best seller." And that's straight from their website! That sums it up perfectly!
