Here we have a 2018 Aevig Corvid Automatik field watch with a round, brushed 40mm black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coated case that curves over your wrist thanks to the tapered lugs. Its brushed flanks lead to a lug-to-lug length of 47.5mm and a case thickness of 12.5mm, ensuring a comfortable fit on your wrist. On the right side at 2 o’clock, a deeply knurled, signed screw-down crown. The slim, smooth bezel features a double-domed sapphire crystal, AR-coated, above a matte cream Bauhaus-influenced dial. An outer minute track has thick and stick batons surrounding pips and two-digit numerals marking the hours coated in C3 SuperLumiNova, this distinctive presentation reminds us of dots and dashes used in Morse code, black outlined sword hands filled with C3 SuperLumiNova are complemented by a red tipped second hand, at noon we have the Aevig motif and at 6 o’clock Corvid 20ATM completing this highly legible field watch. On the reverse, a solid screw-down case back engraved with the details of the watch around its edge and a geometric pattern in the centre, inside an automatic STP Cal. 1-11, 26 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour, this movement was first released in 2012 and has hand winding and hacking for your convenience.
