2017 Schofield Beater 1 Early Grey Enamel Dial Automatic 44mm

Here we have an early 2017 Schofield Beater 1, with a 44mm bead-blasted stainless steel case and a grey enamel dial. Its hand-finished industrial design adds character and uniqueness to the watch. Sloping wide screw-in lugs with a lug-to-lug length of 52mm and a thickness of 15mm give the watch a unique wrist presence. On the right side is a deeply knurled crown. A smooth bezel holds a flat AR-coated sapphire crystal above the Grey Enamel dial, and Super-LumiNova-coated numerals at 12, 3, 6, and 9, with dagger indexes in between, mark the hours. An inner minute track is clearly printed; sword hands are filled with SuperLumiNova. At 12 o’clock, the Schofield motif and at 6 o’clock, a red “B” Beater. On the reverse, a screw-down exhibition case back, inside an automatic NOS Synchron ETA movement. The watch comes with two 24mm Schofield straps with one signed buckle, and also comes with its Schofield presentation box and papers.

I have been fortunate to have sold many Schofields over the years, and now even own the "Light One" that the brand recently released. But this early Beater 1 featuring a wonderful Grey Enamel dial is up there with my favourites. The brand does not shy away from its big and bold design, which is personally what I love about the brand, and I would say that if you have the wrist size to support a watch like this, book an appointment to come and try it on, as you may find yourself loving it too!
