Here we have a 2014 TAG Heuer Carrera 1887 CAR2111-3 with a 41mm high polished stainless steel case. The chamfered lugs have a lug-to-lug length of 49mm and a thickness of 16mm, giving the watch an excellent wrist presence. On the right side, you have chronograph pushers and a signed crown in the centre. A thick fixed polished bezel holds a flat sapphire crystal above a silver dial. An inner Tachymeter chapter ring surrounds the applied polished baton indexes marking the hours. At 6 o’clock, a recessed 12-hour register with a date window. At 12 o’clock, a recessed 30-minute register and finally at 9 o’clock, a small seconds register. Text is precisely printed with an applied Tag Heuer motif at 3 o’clock. Slender stainless steel sword hands have lume infill tips. A fine, tapered chronograph hand completes this striking dial. On the reverse, an exhibition screw-down case back. Inside the iconic column-wheel chronograph, Automatic TAG Heuer Cal. 1887, 37 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. The Cal.1887 celebrates the time when Mr Edouard Heuer produced his very first movement with an oscillating pinion, with fewer components, which increased its accuracy. Released in 2009, it is their fifth in-house movement. The watch comes fitted on its 20mm leather strap with a signed deployant clasp and also comes with its Tag Heuer presentation box and papers.
