The Watch

Maria and Richard Habring founded Habring¬≤ in 1997 in Volkermarkt, Austria. Richard Habrings career started as a watchmaker at IWC under the mentorship of G√ľnter Bl√ľmlein. He had a major role in the development of the double chronograph. With help from his wife, they are creating watches that continue the remarkable horology of Austria. It all started in 2005 when Habring¬≤ set a new standard for seconds accurately jumping. In 2007 they were the first manufacturer to launch a movement with dead beat seconds. They won the Grand Prix d‚ÄôHorlogerie de Gen√®ve in the category ‚ÄúLa Petite Aiguille‚ÄĚ in November 2013.

Here we have a 2014 Habring² Jumping Second Pilot that has a 42mm stainless steel case. The round case has brushed surfaces and gently curving lugs. At 52mm lug to lug length, the watch has a great wrist presence. The brushed bezel holds a concave sapphire crystal. Its sunray blue dial captures the light perfectly as you rotate your wrist. An outer minute track is clearly marked. Applied Arabic 12, 3, 6, and 9 with batons in between coated in SuperLuminova sit in an inner circle. The hour and minute hands are polished and galvanised with SuperLuminova infill. On the reverse an exhibition case back with sapphire crystal. Inside a Manually Wound Habring Cal. A09MS, 20 jewels. An early in-house developed deadbeat center seconds. Based on the ETA/Valjoux 7750 train gear with a manual mechanism. Escapement parts meet Chronometer stands. KIF shock protection complies with DIN and NIHS standards. Perlage finishing. The watch comes fitted on its original 22mm leather strap with a signed buckle. The watch comes with its Habring² presentation box and papers.
