Here we have a 2013 Ochs und Junior Moonphase 'Patina' with a 39mm Grade 5 Titanium 2-part case and crown designed by Ludwig Oechslin that sits flat over your wrist with stubby, round-ended lugs. A lug-to-lug length of 39mm and a case thickness of 10.5mm ensure a comfortable, well-proportioned fit. On the right side is a crown with deep knurling for extra grip. A smooth, rounded bezel holds a flat sapphire crystal above the unique hand-patinated brass dial. The display features minimal batons alongside an incredible, highly accurate ‘Oechslin’s’ epicyclic moonphase indication at 12 o'clock, which requires an astonishing 3,478 years before deviating by a single day. True to the 'Patina' design language, the hands, dial face, and moonphase discs are meticulously chemically treated to showcase the raw, shifting tones of the metal rather than relying on artificial paint. On the reverse, a screwed-down case back houses an automatic ETA Cal. 2824-2, 25 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour. The date can be adjusted via the crown; the moonphase requires going around manually to set. The watch comes paired with two worn Ochs & Junior 22mm straps with one O & J Titanium pin buckle. The company's headquarters and production are based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. In 2019, Beat Weinmann left and was replaced by Marc Bernhardt as the managing director.
