Points of Mention

This watch is sold with its original Seiko box, but no original Seiko paperwork is present. The watch comes paired on its original unworn stainless steel Seiko bracelet with its signed clasp. The watch is from Circa. 2012, based on the serial numbers, and is sold in worn condition, but overall very fair condition as you can see. The watch comes with our 12-Months NON-Waterproof Warranty.

The Watch

Seikos history began in 1881 when Kintaro Hattori established the K. Hattori retail and repair store. In 1892 Seikosha was established making wall clocks. 1895 saw the production of their first pocket watch. 1913 saw the launch of their first wristwatch, the Laurel. In 1924 the first Seiko was manufactured. Daini Seikosha (now Seiko Instruments Inc.) established in 1937. Seiko listed on the Tokyo stock exchange in 1949. The Suwa factory became independent and formed Suwa Seikosha Co. Ltd. (now Seiko Epson Corporation in 1959).

Our Seiko SKZ325, nicknamed “Stargate” due to the chevron indices at 12 o’clock has a 43mm polished and brushed tonneau stainless steel case. Beveled edged lugs taper and the case curves for a cushion style, providing a comfortable fit on the wrist. At 4 o’clock, a screw-down crown recessed into the case for added protection. A 120 clicks unidirectional bezel has a 60 minutes scale and a lume pip at 12 o’clock. The flat Hardlex crystal sits above a black dial. An outer minute track with an inner circle of applied batons coated in LumiBrite creates dimension to the dial. At 3 o’clock a day/ date window. Broad sword hands with a red plongeur minute hand, and an arrow point sweeping seconds hand all coated in LumiBrite for excellent luminescence. On the reverse, a screw-down case back with the Seiko Tsunami indicating its ISO Certification for diving. Inside an Automatic Seiko 7S36, 23 jewels, 21,600 beats per hour. A true workhorse of a movement initially introduced in 1996, it’s tried and tested in many Seiko dive watches. The watch comes on a Seiko 22mm polished and brushed bracelet with a push-button deployment clasp. Comes with its original Seiko presentation box and swing tag.

Personal Note

A fantastic option for someone out there wanting a big, robust diver-style watch! The design is great and actually wears surprisingly well, even on my smaller 6 3/4inch wrists. I would personally wear it on a NATO or rubber, but the bracelet is there either way!
