This watch is sold as “Watch Only”. The watch comes paired on an 18mm black strap with an original Oris signed buckle. The watch is from Circa. 2010s. The dial is in its original, untouched condition. The case is in original condition and shows a few signs of wear, but overall it is very fair. The watch comes with our 12-month NON-Waterproof warranty.

The Watch

Oris was founded by Paul Cattin and George Christian in the Swiss town of Hölstein.  They bought a factory and signed a contract with the mayor in 1904. Initially making pocket watches in 1925 they started to add bracelets to their pocket watches which soon transitioned into the wristwatch. By 1929, they had a total of six factories. At the end of the 1960s, Oris became one of the largest watch companies in the world, producing approximately 1.2 million timepieces a year. In 1982 Dr Rolf Portmann and Ulrich W. Herzog led a management buyout from Swatch Group. Unhappy with the way the Group was running things. Oris SA was born as an independent Swiss watch brand. 2002 saw their distinctive Red Rotor become an Oris registered Trademark.

This Oris classic date has a 37mm stainless steel case. Polished and brushed surfaces gently curve to sloping lugs. Its 44.5mm lug to lug length gives it a great wrist presence. A large signed crown on the right side makes adjustment a breeze. The polished bezel protects a flat sapphire crystal. The black dial has an outer minute track with lume pips. An inner section with guilloche detailing applied Arabic numerals at 12, 3, and 9 with batons in between marking the hours coated in Superluminova C3. At 6 o’clock a date window. Elegant hands with lume infill with a fine center sweeping seconds hand complete the dial. On the reverse an exhibition screw-down case back with sapphire crystal, Inside an Automatic Oris Cal. 733 (Sellita SW-200) 26 jewels, 28,800 beats per hour. Modified with the Oris red rotor. Fitted on an 18mm black strap with original Oris signed buckle.
