This watch is sold with its original Breitling box and original Breitling paperwork. The watch comes paired on an original Breitling bracelet which has a total length of 19.5cm. The watch is from January 1995 and is in worn condition with some hairline scratches here and there, but overall in excellent condition for its age. The watch is running fantastic as you would expect and comes with our 12-Months NON-Waterproof Warranty.
The Watch
Breitling was established in 1884 by Leon Breitling in the Swiss Jura Mountains. The Shark was first introduced in 1991. This 1995 A17605 has a 42mm stainless steel case, high polished and brushed surfaces and a gentle curve to the lugs makes for a comfortable fit. Its unidirectional bezel has deep grooves to aid the user turn it, the 60-minute numerals are etched and painted black which make them stand out against the stainless steel. Sapphire crystal sits flat above the white dial. A 60-minute outer track encircles the dial, Arabic numerals and batons indicate the hours are coated in Superluminova. At 3 o’clock a framed date window. 24-hour numerals sit below the baton markers. Broad sword hands are segmented and coated with Superluminova, the center seconds hand has the Breitling B and Anchor for a counterweight. The screw-down case back has Breitling and Shark engraved in the center. Inside is the Automatic Breitling Cal. 17 25 Jewels 28,800 Beats per hour. Fitted on its original 20mm Breitling bracelet with signed clasp.
Personal Note
"Aeromarine Shark"... What a seriously cool name! Beyond just a badass name, the watch is incredible, you hear 42mm and you think it will wear large on the wrist, but with its lug to lug of 46mm it wears so compact and is super comfortable! Plus the 20mm lug width allows for lots of strap options, believe me, this is a strap monster! Plus this is from the era where Breitling was making some seriously cool watches, its great to see Breitling coming back to that now!
