The Watch

Here we have a 1990s TAG Heuer Carrera Re-Edition Tritium 36mm CS3111, a faithful modern interpretation of their 1964 Heuer Carrera released in 1996. The 36mm polished stainless steel case curves over your wrist with angled tapered flat-ended lugs, a lug-to-length of 44mm and a case thickness of 12.5mm ensuring a comfortable fit. Down the right side, we have the piston-style chronograph pushers and a signed crown in the centre. A stepped smooth bezel holds a domed acrylic crystal above a black dial. A white decimal scale track surrounds a 60-minute scale above applied baton indexes filled with Tritium and Tritium pips marking the hours, at 3 o’clock a 30-minute register, at 6 o’clock a 12-hour register and finally at 9 o’clock a continuous seconds register, each precisely executed with a white stick hand. Slender sword hands filled with lume are complemented by a tapered chronograph hand, at 12 o’clock we have the Heuer motif completing this vintage-inspired re-edition. On the reverse, a screw-down case back with “1964 Heuer Carrera Re-Edition” and the Heuer motif engraved into it, inside a manually wound Lemania 1873, 18 jewels, beating at 21,600 beats per hour.
