Description

Here we have a 1990s Maurice Lacroix Croneo Automatic ETA 7750 featuring a round 38mm gold-plated case that sits comfortably on your wrist with thick curved lugs. Its curved flanks lead to a lug-to-lug length of 42.5mm and a case thickness of 12.5mm. On the right side, the chronograph pushers flank the onion crown at the centre. A stepped smooth bezel holds a slightly domed crystal above a dynamic white dial. An outer Tachymeter scale surrounds a minute track with gilt baton indexes marking the hours. At 12 o’clock, a 30-minute register; at 6 o’clock, a 12-hour register; and finally at 9 o’clock, a running seconds register, each recessed in a gilt ring and blue infill. At 3 o’clock, a framed date window. Elegant thin sword hands filled with lume are complemented by a tapered chronograph hand. At 3 o’clock, the Maurice Lacroix motif and Automatic sit underneath, completing this sophisticated chronograph. On the reverse, a solid steel case back is engraved with the watch details; inside, an automatic ETA Cal. 7750, 25 jewels, beats at 28,800 beats per hour. It comes paired with a well-suited 19mm strap and a Maurice Lacroix gold-plated pin buckle.

Points of Mention

This watch is sold as ‘Watch Only’ and therefore comes without its original Maurice Lacroix presentation box or paperwork. It comes paired with a well-suited 19mm strap and a Maurice Lacroix gold-plated pin buckle. It is from Circa. 1990s and is in worn condition, but overall, it is in fair condition, as you can see. The watch comes with our 12-Months NON-Waterproof Warranty.

Personal Note

For well under £1,000, I genuinely think you'd struggle to find a better-looking automatic chronograph than this Maurice Lacroix. There's an awful lot of watch here for the money. The proportions are absolutely spot on, with that 38mm case wearing beautifully on the wrist. But it's the dial that really does it for me. Those subtle pops of light blue against the warm ivory-white dial and gold-plated case are just fantastic. It's a colour combination you don't see very often, and it works so well. And underneath it all you've got the legendary ETA 7750 automatic chronograph movement. Great looks, brilliant proportions and a proper Swiss mechanical chronograph for this sort of money? What's not to love. Add this 90s gem to your collection today!
