In 1904, Louis Cartier was asked by his friend Alberto Santos-Dumont, a Brazilian aviator and early pioneer of flying machines, to make a watch that was visible without taking his hands off the controls. In 1911 Cartier made the Santos available to all. You can’t get more stylish than this round 33mm stainless steel case with Cabochon stone crown. Stainless steel bezel with screw detailing. Sapphire crystal protects a clean white dial with Roman numerals marking the hours. Date window at 3 o’clock position. Blued steel handset surrounded by the inner minute track. Screw-in case back houses the Cartier Automatic Cal 049 based on the ETA 2892-2 21 jewels 28,800 beats per hour. Fitted on its integrated stainless steel bracelet with screw detailing and signed folding clasp.

This watch is sold with its original Cartier Box & original Cartier Paperwork. The watch comes paired on its original Cartier Santos Bracelet. The watch is in worn condition but is overall very good, see the photos. The watch has an unknown service history but is in good working order.
Cartier is a personal favourite brand of mine and this Santos is incredible! I had never seen this model before now, let's just say this reference has been added to my personal wants list! This watch I suspect won't stick around long.
