Here we have a 1977 Piaget Protocole Yellow Gold Diamond Dial 99041 with a 25mm rectangular 18ct Yellow Gold case. The brushed and polished surfaces transition along distinctive lines and flat corners that lead to hidden lugs with a lug-to-lug length of 28mm and a case thickness of just 4.5mm, ensuring a comfortable cushion fit. On the right side is a coin-edged crown. The flat rectangular crystal sits above a stunning paved dial of diamonds that magically play with the light as you rotate your wrist, black baton hands sit majestically in the centre, and at noon, we have the Piaget motif completing this mesmerising dress watch. On the reverse a screwed-down case back, inside a manually wound Piaget Cal. 9P, 18 jewels, 19,800 beats per hour. This incredibly thin movement at 2mm was launched in 1957 and is still one of the thinnest mechanical movements. The watch comes fitted on a suitable 17mm leather strap with its original Piaget 18ct gold buckle.
