The perfectly proportioned 35mm stainless steel case introduces a sleek, low-profile architecture finished in a high-mirror polish. With a compact 41.5 mm lug-to-lug length and an ultra-slender 9.5mm case thickness, its svelte dimensions and flowing, minimalist lines deliver an incredibly balanced, ergonomic, sophisticated wrist presence that slips seamlessly under a formal dress cuff. The classic case silhouette is capped by a polished bezel and features a crisp push-pull crown. A flush-fitting Eterna-signed crystal sits over a stunning, minimalist silver dial that leans into pure mid-century sophistication. The clean dial layout provides a beautifully understated aesthetic, utilising applied steel baton hour markers and matching baton hands. Balancing daily practicality with visual symmetry, a quickset date window sits neatly and discreetly positioned at the 3 o'clock mark, framed by a subtle printed minute track. On the reverse side, the solid case back with the engraving "To C.C.Hall from the Directors of the M.Thomas Motor Group in recognition of his Loyal Service - 1950-1977" protects the mechanical heart beating underneath and often features historic engraving fields unique to its heritage as a presentation piece. Inside lies the premium, in-house Manually Wound Eterna Cal. 2084 movement, a highly regarded slimline engine praised by vintage purists for its dependable engineering. Operating at a smooth frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, this manual calibre features quickset date functionality and a reliable power reserve, offering a tactile wind-up experience that connects the wearer directly to the watch's mechanical soul. Personal Note

I absolutely love presentation watches like this, especially when they feature a personal engraving that gives us a little glimpse into the watch’s history, something we so rarely get with vintage watches. Knowing that this Eterna was presented to C.C. Hall in recognition of 27 years of loyal service makes it feel that bit more special. You can’t help but wonder about the person who originally owned it, the occasion it was presented, and the life it has lived since. For me, these little details add so much character. It’s no longer just a lovely vintage Eterna, but a watch with a genuine story attached to it, and that’s something I’ll always appreciate. Snap up this vintage gem to your collection today!

About Eterna

Eterna was founded in Grenchen, Switzerland, in 1856 by Josef Girard and Urs Schild. Jointly founding the famous ébauche factory.  The company was formerly known as Schild Fréres, starting out by producing ladies’ wristwatches. In 1905, the company changed its name to Eterna.  In 1932, Eterna set up a subsidiary company, ETA SA, which made movements for itself and other Swiss watch companies  In 1948, Eterna created the Eterna-Matic automatic, an advanced self-winding movement. Five ball bearings were placed in such a way as to make the movement very efficient. In 1948, Eterna used the five-ball arrangement as its corporate logo.  In 1999, Eterna produced a series of watches marketed under the Porsche Design label. Porsche Design sold Eterna to International Volant Ltd, a subsidiary of China Haidian in June 2012. China Haidian was later renamed in 2014 to Citychamp Watch & Jewellery Group Limited, where they continue to own Eterna.
