Points of Mention

This watch is sold as watch only and therefore comes with no original Seiko box or original Seiko paperwork. The watch is sold on its original Seiko signed bracelet. The watch features its original dial, the hour hand has been replaced with a NOS hand. The case has a polished finished as opposed to the brushed. Unknown service history but the watch runs well, chronograph works well too and resets to zero.

The Watch

The iconic shape gives this Seiko Automatic it’s named “UFO” as in Flying Saucer. It is also recognised as the “Big Eye, Small Eye due” to the slightly different size subdials.

The Seiko Cal 6138 runs at 21,600 BPH. We have long sword hands with the minute hand reaching the individual minute markers, central yellow chronograph seconds hand. The dial is a lovely deep black with silvered subdials which adds a real punch to the design! Black tachymeter bezel on the outside of the polished case, very sporty and very 1970s Seiko!

Personal Note

A great example of a lovely Seiko UFO for a great price! Usually, these have been messed with to death, whilst this has had a few alterations like the hour hand and the case is polished it is still a great example.
