Points of Mention

This watch is sold with its original Zenith box, but no Zenith paperwork. The watch comes paired with an aftermarket black strap. The watch is from Circa. 1972 and is in worn, vintage condition, but overall very good as you can see. The watch is all original and even features its original crown. The watch comes with our 12-Months NON-Waterproof Warranty.

The Watch

They were founded in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot at 22 in Le Locle Switzerland. In November 1999 they were purchased by LVMH Group joining brands like TAG Heuer and Hublot. They continue to manufacture their in-house movements. Over the years Zenith has won over 2300 awards for precision.

The Sporto range was introduced in the 1950s in response to a need for a more robust watch that will withstand a more rigorous lifestyle. Our Zenith Sporto dates from 1972, the 36.5mm tonneau Gold plated case curves towards the lugs. A lug to lug length of 43mm and a 10.5mm thickness ensures a comfortable fit on your wrist. On the right side, a signed crown. A flat beveled edged crystal sits above a sunburst golden dial. Applied baton indexes mark the hours between the 4 and 5 positions, a date window. Slender baton hands have lume infill. On the reverse, a stainless steel screw-down case back. Inside a Manually Wound Zenith Cal. 2562C, 17 Jewels, 28,800 Beats per hour.  Fitted on a18mm leather strap.

Personal Note

It is no secret I am a big fan of Zenith, owning multiple personally, this example is fantastic and I just had to get it in for stock. The gold plating is mint, original lines on the case, the dial is crisp and sharp, lume plots intact... It's just perfect, plus the fact it comes with its original box, always a great plus!
