Here we have a 1970s Piaget Black Tie Emperador TV 18ct White Gold 9434, featuring a brushed 32mm square 18ct White Gold TV-shaped case. Elegant chamfered lines lead to straight, flat-ended lugs with a lug-to-lug length of 36.5mm and a case thickness of just 4.5mm, ensuring a comfortable, cushioned fit on your wrist. On the right side is a coin-edge crown capped with a blue cabochon. A decorative, bark-textured top surface features a polished bezel that holds a flat crystal above a stunning bark-textured dial. Black printed Roman numeral indexes mark the hours. Elegant, leaf hands sit majestically in the centre of this desirable dial. On the reverse, a brushed, screwed-down case back, inside a manually wound Piaget Cal. 9P, 18 jewels, 19,800 beats per hour. This incredibly thin movement, at just 2mm, was launched in 1957 and remains one of the thinnest mechanical movements. It comes paired with a well-suited 18mm leather strap and its original hallmarked Piaget 18ct white gold buckle.
