Points of Mention

This watch is sold as "Watch Only" and therefore comes with no Lucerne box or Lucerne papers. The watch comes paired on its original Tropic-Style rubber 19mm strap. The watch is from November 1970s as is in "Near New Old Stock" meaning, in my opinion, it is as close as you can get, see the photos and judge for yourself. The watch is running well and comes with our 6-Months NON-Waterproof Warranty.

The Watch

Lucerne was a US company based in New York City. It assembled Swiss parts into various types of cases and sold them under their Lucerne name. This essentially NOS Lucerne is a dive style. The 39mm curvaceous case, unusually large for its time, is Chrome plated in great condition with that characteristic mirror finish. The friction fit 60-minute bezel is red and black with white numerals at 15, 30, and 45 minutes. Its acrylic crystal protects a black dial white batons with Tritium lume mark the hours with a date window at 3 o’clock. White baton hands along with a red center seconds hand give the dial a nice pop. The stainless steel case back is styled like a screw-down but actually pops on and off instead. Inside a Manually Wound EB 8110 fitted on its original 19mm Tropic-style strap.

Personal Note

Usually, I would avoid and not sell Chrome cases with Pin-Lever movements as the Chrome is typically in a bad state and the movements aren't notoriously that great. However as you can see the condition of this is insane and I just could not say no, the design is beautiful and strangely large for its time too, the movement is in great condition and running well, though do be aware that Pin-Levers are not as accurate in general as your typical multi-jeweled movement. So this isn't to be worn as an everyday watch.
