Here, we have a classic 1970s Corum Buckingham 54.121.01 with its distinctive 35.5mm square .925 Sterling Silver case with sculpted flanks that gently curve over your wrist thanks to the soft, rounded lugs. Chamfered edges lead to a lug-to-lug length of 38mm and a case thickness of just 7mm, ensuring a comfortable fit. On the right side, we have a coin-edged crown topped with a blue cabochon. The square crystal sits proud of the case, showcasing the beautiful linen-textured silver dial. Unusual and aesthetically pleasing long and short horizontal stick indexes mark the hours, delicate stick hands sit majestically in the centre, and at 6 o’clock we have the Corum motif completing the sophisticated dress watch. On the reverse, a solid case back engraved with “Buckingham” and its serial number, inside a manually wound Corum signed AS Cal. 4200, 21 jewel movement. It comes paired with its original Corum 30mm leather strap with a comfortable taper and steel signed pin buckle, and this watch is sold with its original Corum presentation box and pouch.

Some watches land on my desk and I am instantly blown away, this is one of those watches. I have seen the Corum Buckingham before but something about the size, the 925 Sterling Silver case and the beautiful linen dial with obscure indices, make it a real dream on and off the wrist and unlike anything else.
