Caravelle is the sister company of Bulova. Introduced in 1962 they offered the consumer a more affordable line of watches. Whilst giving them choice without devaluing the Bulova brand. They created and sold American watches with Swiss components and movements.
This 1970 Caravelle Sea Hunter "Devil Diver" 666 has a 36.5mm stainless steel case with tapering lugs that have a gradual curve that lets it sit on the wrist comfortably. Friction fit rotating Ghost bezel, this was originally a black insert that has faded to a pale grey over time with batons, numerals. The domed acrylic crystal sits above a gloss black dial with long batons and numerals coated in Tritium at 12, 3, 6, and 9. Slim baton hands with white center seconds lollipop hand complete the dial. Written on the dial Water-resistant, 666ft which gives it its Devil name. Screw-down case back houses a Manually Wound Bulova 11DP. Fitted on a 20mm period-correct stainless steel rivet bracelet with a folding clasp. The watch also comes with its original lollipop second hand, a period-correct black tropic strap, and a different profile new old stock replacement crystal.

This watch is sold as "Watch Only" and therefore comes with no original Caravelle box or original Caravelle paperwork. The watch comes paired on a 20mm period-correct stainless steel rivet bracelet with a folding clasp which suits the design perfectly. The watch also comes with its original lollipop second hand, a period-correct black tropic strap, and a different profile new old stock replacement crystal.
