50 years old! This incredible watch looks just as great today as it did in 1969 when it left the factory, at 39mm with a 47mm lug to lug it wears incredibly well for a watch of its age. Whether you call this great dial the Batman, Zorro, Bowtie or Hourglass, it is a beautiful dial in perfect condition which is everything when buying vintage. Using the infamous Valjoux 7733 it was considered at the time a more affordable alternative to some of Breitling's other offerings, though today the market has grown more fond of the 2 dial layout chronographs of the 60s and 70s.
Points of Mention
This watch is sold as watch only and therefore comes with no Original box or Original Paperwork. The watch is from 1969 and therefore vintage and is showing signs of wear, but overall for its age, it is in incredible condition. The watch features an original NOS bezel, service history is unknown but it is running very well and is clean inside.
I cannot fault this watch. The condition is incredible, it is running like a dream, it looks incredible on the wrist and due to the condition can easily pass as a modern watch. When you say it is 50 years old and from 1969 it amazes people, including myself!
