Points of Mention

This watch is sold with its Omega box, but no Omega paperwork. The watch comes paired on an aftermarket brown leather strap with an aftermarket reproduction rose gold-tone Omega buckle. The watch has been professionally repolished and looks incredible, the condition is fantastic. The case back does feature an engraving "HD", I decided to keep this and I really love the way it has been done. The dial is completely original and shows signs of age, please do see the macro shots. The movement has also been fully serviced. The watch comes with our 12-Months NON-Waterproof warranty.

The Watch

Formerly known as the La Generale Watch Co. it was founded by Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1848. In 1903 they renamed the company Omega until 1982 when they officially changed their name to Omega SA. They are part of the Swiss Swatch Group.
Omega first applied "Genève" to its 30mm dress watch dials in 1953. This was to celebrate records set by their watches at the Geneva Observatory. By 1967 the name was put on many more models. They used the same high-quality movements as found in the Seamaster and Dynamic models. They were targeted towards the younger generation by using textured dials and represented a more value-orientated range. The Calvin factory in Geneva closed in 1972 and the name "Genève" finally disappeared on their dials in 1979. During this period the "Genève" models accounted for 60% of all Omega sales.
Our 18ct Pink Gold Omega Genève has a 35mm curvaceous case, polished surfaces, and petal-shaped tapering lugs for that comfortable fit. On the right side, a signed crown. A polished pink gold bezel supports a domed crystal. The dial is domed with a toned outer track with applied chamfered baton markers for the hours that glint in the light. The inner section's lighter tone is centered with a crosshair, its silvered dial has a sunburst effect that catches the light perfectly. At 3 o’clock a date window. Elegant dauphine hands with a center sweeping seconds hand. On the reverse, a gold snap case back with the letters H.D engraved in the middle. Inside a Manually Wound Omega Cal. 610, 17 Jewels, 19,800 beats per hour.

Personal Note

The moment I saw this beautiful pink gold Geneve I had to have it for stock, but until then I had to enjoy myself for a little while and believe me, if it wasn't for the fact I keep buying more stock, this wouldn't have made it to the website! Truly one of the most beautiful vintage Omega's I have had in some time, far from the most expensive, but it has given me some serious pleasure on the wrist!
