This watch is sold as "Watch Only" and therefore comes with no original Vulcain box or paperwork. The watch comes paired with its original Chrome bracelet with a folding clasp. The watch is from Circa. 1960s and is sold in unworn, new old stock condition, do keep in mind any signs of wear are from the roughly 70+ years of storage. The Watch

Vulcain was founded in 1858 in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland. by Jacque Ditisheim and his three sons. Specialising in pocket watches they quickly branched out into wristwatches for military use during the 1940s. After five years of research and development, they created the famous Cal. 120 Cricket movement which was released in 1947. In 1988 they were approached by Finnish jeweller Keijo Paajanen who suggested that they start again in offering their Cricket timepiece to American Presidents during their state visits. Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, and George Bush Sr all received one. Refusing to jump on the Quartz bandwagon, they relaunched themselves in 2001 with the Cal. V21. An Alarm, mechanical movement.

Here we have a 1960s Vulcain "Ellipse" with a 33.5mm Chrome ellipse case. The design of the case sits on the wrist like a cushion. A lug to lug length of 31.5mm and a thickness of just 8mm ensures a comfortable fit on your wrist. A flat bezel holds a flat crystal above a gradient (fumé) brown dial. Its horizontal line creates an interesting effect. Applied Roman numeral indexes mark the hours. Fine pencil hands complete this understated dress watch. On the reverse, a snap-off stainless steel case back with its original sticker still in place. Inside a Manually Wound Cal. MSR K1, 17 jewels, 19,800 beats per hour. The watch comes fitted on its original Vulcain integrated bracelet with an attractive pattern and a folding clasp.
