Here we have a 1957 Tissot T-12 Visodate Automatic 67012-1 with a 35.5mm stainless steel case that curves over your wrist with tapered drilled lugs, a subtle curved chamfered edge along the flanks leads to a lug-to-lug length of 43mm and a case thickness of 12.5mm, ensuring a comfortable fit. On the right side is a large, signed crown, which is showing signs of age. The smooth bezel holds a domed crystal above a cream dial, surrounding applied gold-toned facet-edged bullet-shaped indexes mark the hours. At 3 o’clock, a framed date window and elegant gold-toned dauphine hands are complemented by a tapered, sweeping second hand. At noon, we have the Tissot motif with ‘T.12’ underneath, and at 6 o’clock, ‘Automatic Visodate’ completes this distinctive vintage timepiece. On the reverse, there is a screw-down case back inside an automatic Tissot Cal. 28.5R-621, 17 jewels, beating at 19,800 beats per hour; this movement was in production from 1952 until 1962. It comes paired with a well-suited 19mm quick-release leather strap and pin buckle.
