The Watch
A stunning mid-size Rolex Oyster Royal Precision, unusually it can be seen on the inside of the screw-down case back both its Original Canadian hallmark of 10k and once imported to the UK it was re hallmarked at the Assay Office to the nearest value of 9k Gold. An indication Rolex would go far afield to source cases for their particular requirements as this is correctly signed RWC. Slightly domed acrylic crystal with a minimal bezel protects the attractive Salmon dial, Embossed Arabic numerals with alternate baton markers make up the hours. The characteristic Mercedes hands complete with lume, a needle centre seconds that sweeps perfectly along the minute track. A large signed crown makes adjustment a breeze. Inside we have the Rolex manual wind Cal. 10.5H Beating at 18,000 beats per hour. Fitted with a 17mm French leather strap with a lizard grain.
Personal Note
There is something so stunning about a Salmon dial, especially when it is on a smaller vintage watch! Granted this is 31mm and some may see that as too small, but truthfully this watch wears like a 33mm/34mm thanks to the Oyster case which always makes their watches wear larger than their mm size.
