Description

Here we have a 35mm 1950s Fleuron 18ct Rose Gold Manual that curves over your wrist towards the attractive Bombe Lugs that sit majestically on the two-piece case. This distinctive case was made by the Grimm case makers of La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. A lug-to-lug length of 43mm and a case thickness of just 8.5mm ensure a comfortable fit on your wrist. On the right side is a Rose gold crown. The smooth bezel holds a domed acrylic crystal above the stunning textured gold-toned radiating sunburst-patterned dial. The outer minute track is precisely executed with printed Arabic numerals, raised Rose gold-toned dagger indexes, and 12, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 numerals mark the hours. Elegant Rose gold-toned Dauphine's hands are complemented by a tapered sweeping second hand. At 12 o’clock, we have the Fleuron motif and 17 Jewels printed underneath, and at 6 o’clock, “Incabloc” completes this sophisticated dress watch. On the reverse, an 18ct Rose Gold snap-on case back, inside you find the stamped Swiss Gold Hallmarks with the head of Helvetia for 18ct Gold, a manually wound AS 1187, 17 jewels, beating at a leisurely 18,000 beats per hour. The watch comes paired with an 18mm suede strap.

Points of Mention

This watch is sold as "Watch Only" and therefore comes with no original Fleuron box or paperwork. The watch comes paired with a well-fitting 18mm suede strap. The watch is from Circa. 1950s and is sold in worn, vintage condition. But as you can see from the photographs, this watch is in all original condition with slight wear throughout. The watch comes with our 12-Months NON-Waterproof Warranty.

Personal Note

This Fleuron has become something of a recurring character at Kibble Watches. I've owned this very watch several times over the years because whenever I sell it, I always ask for first refusal if the owner ever decides to move it on. Thankfully for me, each owner has taken me up on that offer! The reason is simple: I absolutely love it. The case, the bombe lugs, the beautifully textured dial, and the warm rose gold all come together to create a watch that feels far more expensive than it actually is. For an 18ct rose gold vintage dress watch with this level of craftsmanship, the value for money is remarkable. It's exactly the sort of hidden gem that reminds me why I enjoy sourcing lesser-known brands alongside the big names. One day, it'll find its forever home and won't come back to me, and I suspect whoever ends up keeping it will understand exactly why I've been so keen to buy it back each time. Snap it up and add it to your collection today!
