Points of Mention

This watch is sold as "Watch Only" and therefore comes with no Reda box or Red paperwork. The watch comes paired on a super interesting bracelet that has spring-loaded links, meaning it stretches and when released goes back to the natural position, the clasp also has a unique gliding lock system for easy adjusting with just your nail on the fly, truly revolutionary and made by F & R. The watch is from Circa. 1940s and is in NOS (New Old Stock) condition as you can see from the photos, the case is Chrome with a Steel back, for it to be in this condition it has been stored away all these years. The movement has been serviced and the watch does come with the KibbleWatches 12-Months NON-Waterproof Warranty.

The Watch

We have here a NOS (New Old Stock) 1940s REDA Ancre 34mm Chromium case with lugs that flare out elegantly, giving a sophisticated look on the wrist. A small bezel encircles the domed crystal. Fine minute track crisply applied to the silver dial, Art Deco numerals perfectly inked in black with confident lines. Beautiful Lance hands heated blue and a sub-seconds at 6 o’clock finished a very legible dial. Inside a Manually wound AS Cal.1238 which has 15 Jewels and beats at 18,000 beats per hour. Fitted on a Swiss-made F & R stainless steel spring link bracelet with a satisfying fit. An unusual clasp with on the fly adjustment with a push of a fingernail the bar inside the clasp moves conveniently to the next position to make that fine adjustment.

Personal Note

What a stunning watch, the lug design is what gets me here, truly unique and very 1940s! Match that with the bracelet it is paired on, it is super comfortable once sized correctly and really looks fantastic on the wrist at 34mm! I'd go as far as saying the bracelet is just as cool as the watch and at 18mm it will fit many of your other watches which have an 18mm lug width!
