Points of Mention
This watch is sold as "Watch Only" and therefore comes with no original Omega box or Omega papers. The watch comes paired on a very nice fitting brown leather strap, the lugs are fitted so open-ended straps are required. The watch is from Circa. 1939 and is in worn, vintage condition as you can see from the photos. Overall, however, the watch is very good for its age and the dial is completely original and never touched. The watch comes with our 12-Months NON-Waterproof Warranty.
The Watch
Here we have an early 1939 Omega, it’s oversize 38mm is unusual for the time. Its polished stainless steel round case has a slim profile. Thin angled lugs with a lug to lug length of 43mm ensures a comfortable fit on your wrist. On the right side, a large crown. A domed crystal sits above a dial with even patina. An outer minute track with Roman Numeral indexes marks the hours. At 6 o’clock a large sub-seconds register. Fine hands are thermally blued. On the reverse a plain snap-fit case back. Inside a Manually Wound 30T2 17 Jewels 21600 Beats per hour. Fitted on a 20mm quality leather strap.
Personal Note
I always say that I wish I could keep everything, but some watches really push how far that goes! This watch I just had to personally enjoy before bringing it to the market, I also believe this is the first time this watch has come to the market other than coming to me! An incredibly rare and large watch, beautiful and original! I wouldn't miss out on this one.
