WOLBROOK watches were introduced in 1949 building rugged timepieces. In 1955 their sister brand Douglas was created offering large waterproof timepieces with legible green luminescence indexes on their dials. During the 1960s and the space race Neil Armstrong famously owned a Douglas Skin-diver “World timer” which was auctioned in 2019. During the1970s “quartz revolution”, they went out of business. But after 50 years Wolbrook and Douglas have been reborn in 2019.
