Steinhart was founded in 2001  in Augsburg, Germany by Gunther Steinhart, a watchmaker. Launching the Ocean 1 they sell online and through distributors.  Designed by Simon Schmidt and put together by three watchmakers Thilo Barnessoi, Reinhold Runge and Pia Zellerhoff.
