Roger Dubuis was the brainchild of Roger Dubuis and Carlos Dias in 1995. Based in Geneva, Switzerland.

Roger Dubuis's career started at Longines in the late 1950s. Founding his namesake brand in 1980 after 14 years of development in movement complications for Patek Philippe in Geneva. His outstanding commissions create new complications for major brands over several years. Carlos Dias, a designer for Franck Muller, joined Roger at the launch of the Dubuis Brand.

In 2001, they built a manufacturing facility in Meyrin, near Geneva

In August 2008, Richemont Group bought 60% of Roger Dubuis. In 2016, the Richemont Group purchased the remaining 40% of the company.

Roger Dubuis is one of the few Swiss watch companies that manufacture most of the components of its calibres in-house. Roger Dubuis calibres are made up of several hundred components all finished by hand.
