Piaget was founded in 1874  in the small Swiss village of La Côte-aux-Fées. Georges-Édouard Piaget had a passion for watches from a young age. He created movements from his workshop. It wasn’t until his son Timothée Piaget took over that the business saw a huge expansion building a new manufacturing facility. In 1943 Piaget became a registered trademark. Creating ultra-thin watches with their 9P Calibre which was an incredible 2mm thick, a world record that they still hold. Today Piaget is a subsidiary of the Swiss Richemont group. This group includes Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, IWC Schaffhausen, Panerai, Vacheron Constantin, Montblanc, Dunhill, and Chloé.
