Ludwig Oechslin, a master watchmaker, and Kurt König, the managing director of Embassy, founded Ochs und Junior AG in 2006. Ulysse Nardin became shareholders in 2012. The company headquarters and production are based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. In 2019, Beat Weinmann left and was replaced by Marc Bernhardt as the managing director. Today, the family-run company is solely owned by Dr Ludwig Oechslin and Prof Kornelia Imesch. Their creations specialise in astronomical complications, and their moon phase is one of the most accurate in the world, which customers can design using their website configurator.
