Nordgreen was launched by three friends, Vasilij Brandt, Pascar Sivam, and Christian Arnstedt in 2017. The watch brand's name is a combination of the location of the company ( Nord - indicating Northern Europe ) and their commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly initiatives (green).
Nordgreen was started with funding from Blazar Capital, a private e-commerce brand incubator which the three Nordgreen founders also co-created.
The company achieved early success by combining minimalist watch design elements as envisioned by the founders and award-winning designer, Jakob Wagner In 2020, the Men's Pioneer watch line received the Red Dot design award.
